What is needed for installation?
  • Pipe cement: Use ABS cement for the ABS version, or PVC primer + PVC cement for the PVC version.
What’s different from the Universal Bond Flange Kit?

Outlet Type

  • Universal Bond Flange Kit: Connects to a 2" waste pipe or adapts to a 3-piece clamping drain using the included adapter.
  • Traditional Bond Flange Kit: Connects directly to a 2" waste pipe (not compatible with the clamping adapter).

Shower Pan Type

  • Universal Kit: Best for mortar (dry-pack) pans.
  • Traditional Kit: Drops into most preformed foam trays.

Grate Compatibility

  • Universal Kit: Works with ANY FloFX grate (including Tile-in and the Elite Grate Carrier).
  • Traditional Kit: Works with standard FloFX grates.

Grate Adjustment

  • Universal Kit: Uses a grate carrier/shim set (horizontal & vertical adjustment).
  • Traditional Kit: Uses an adjustment ring and grate riser.
What preformed shower pans is this compatible with?
  • Direct fit: Schluter, Prova, and Profilitec foam trays.
  • Laticrete trays: Use an LFT mortar to achieve full coverage where a 3/8" gap exists under the bond flange.
